You and a two year old are placed in a small, bare, carpeted room for two hours. You do not really know this child. The child has NO idea who you are. Can you handle it? Sure. No worries, right? How about you and 2 two year olds? 3 two year olds ? 5? 7? 9? 12? Are you screaming for MERCY! yet? Welcome to Nursery. It takes a lot of ideas to make the 2 hours of church nursery run smoothly. I can use all the help I can get.

Jello Playdough
This is by far the best use I can think of for Jello since I can't stand to eat the stuff. It's Jello Playdough! It provides color and a good smell. I think I might try to make it today. You can see a recipe here or here.
I found out about this at Design Mom which is an awesome blog to browse if you ever have a moment.
Have fun making your Jello playdough! There are also good recipes out there for Kool-Aid playdough as well — another product I don't actually like to eat :)
ReplyDeleteI hope the playdough making is fun.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great way to use Jello which I detest as well! maybe I'll try it. Thanks for the link.
ReplyDeleteMy only concern would be that it smelled so good that the kids would be more interested in eating/tasting it than they would with regular play dough.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I think it would be a great use for Kool-aid, or sugar water as we call it at my brothers house.
design mom is the BEST blog!
